Dwarf galaxy discovered at Andromeda's edge could be 'fossil' of first galaxies

A NSF NOIRLab’s Community Science and Data Center study of Andromeda galaxy data has revealed a dwarf galaxy at its edge. Follow up observations using the International Gemini Observatory has shown that it may be a "fossil of the first galaxies."
