Asteroid over 1 mile wide to zip past Earth safely

Asteroid 7335 (1989 JA) will fly about 2.5 million miles (4 million kilometers) from our planet on May 27, that's nearly 10 times the average distance between Earth and the moon. The space rock is 1.1. miles (1.8 km) in diameter.
