Pink Moon / Super Moon. 7th April 2020

Tonights Pink Moon / Super Moon as seen from here in the UK. As you can tell the moon isnt very pink. This term comes from way back when the full moon at this time of year was associated with the blooming of a particular flower. Given we as a society dont have the same connection with nature and the phases of the moon, I know a number of people, who wouldn't normally be interested in astronomy, thinking the moon was turning pink and will be very disappointed even though the moon looks spectacular as it is. But thats a rant for another day.
