Flying Tiger Line Flight 739 On March 14, 1962, a Lockheed L-1049 Super Constellation Propliner departed from Travis Air Force Base in California with 93 US Army Rangers, three South Vietnamese soldiers, and nine civilian flight crew members aboard. Charter flight 739 was operated by Flying Tiger Line on behalf of the Military Air Transport Service. 7.
