Blimey I feel for the man in this video as it was Infront of so many people, this lad was on duty at Buckingham palace securing the area when another guard comes over to presumably change turns. The guard shifts a bit to the right to make some space and get into the correct position because his colleague leaves and walks away to go somewhere. The floor must have been icy or wet because he does slip quite easily and falls over. What you have to realise is these men carry big heavy guns with a knife sticking out of it. If they fall over the wrong way, they could get seriously seriously hurt from it. Luckily none of that happens and he falls on his backside he does have a small smile on his face but you can tell he never wanted that to happen. Because the job he does is so important he cannot do much other then get back up and carry on working so I feel for him. He does get back up and hopefully is unharmed. Guardsman collapses during a ceremony. So, this was recorded on the day of Her Majesty’s 90th birthday. So obviously there was a ceremony taking place to celebrate it in London. The queens and Prince Philip get taken out of Buckingham palace to stroll down around London whilst people clap and wave at the queen. In the video you can see hundreds and hundreds of queen’s guards all lined up in their positions. So, they are on duty securing the queen, but if you didn’t know these guards have probably been standing there for a very long time. Now they have to stay in a fixed standing position. Now mix that with very hot weather can lead to problems. And in this video a queen’s guard does actually collapse completely out in the open. Now the male isn’t even moving so he must’ve passed out. Luckily people do catch onto this quite quickly and other guards come over with a stretcher. They put him onto the stretcher to take him away. Now I believe nothing serious happen to the poor man but hopefully he is not in bad health from it. These guards certainly have a hard time, so a lot of respect to them. Now if you didn’t know the palace place guards at the front to guard the building and for tourist purposes, so they stand by their little station, but now and then they obviously want to stretch their legs and get some blood flowing so they are allowed to walk up and down in a line outside the building. Now of course from the title of the video you know exactly what happens, the man unfortunately does fall over quite hard on his backside. And his weapon goes flying out of his hands. He actually does look like that hurt him because it takes him a while to get up so I really hope this man is ok and not hurt too badly. And because of the nature of this job he gets back up and goes back to work. Man thrown off horse outside Buckingham palace. The cameraman in this video zooms in on a carriage that has the Queen and Prince Phillip in it when all of a sudden you hear some noise out of nowhere. The man repositions his camera and you see a horse and guardsman having some trouble together, I believe the horse may got a bit anxious about everything around it so it started moving. The guardsman tries to calm the horse down but the horse unfortunately trips over and falls on its side throwing the guardsman off the horse completely, the guardsman remained very professional and got hold of the horse and got back onto the horse whilst sorting out its sword and helmet. The guard remained anxious from everything happening so three other people came over to help the man.
