Let’s get rollin! 10 Yawning Alright folks let’s start with one that may be a bit surprising, especially when you consider that we all do it every single day – let me ask you a question – why do we yawn? Yeah, you know – yawn… like when you’re tired at work or school or maybe even just bored out of your mind… Let me ask you another question, if I told you that scientists still don’t really know or even understand why it happens. I know, crazy right? The truth is that people yawn up to around 250 thousand times in a lifetime, so the fact that there are billions of people on earth it seems like a case study wouldn’t be that hard to complete. For awhile a lot of scientists thought that the action of yawning actually chilled the brain and provided some sort of temporary spark of one’s intellect – but that theory was debunked when it was never proven that people got a boost of anything after they yawned. 9 Tusko Let’s keep things rolling right along as we get into the next clip – check this out – this story stems all the way back from 1962, in a time where the United States government was hellbent on figuring out all of the effects of the now infamous drug lsd. In a really bizarre and messed up twist the CIA performed a horrendous experiment on a 3.5 ton elephants named Tusko. They fed this poor guy enough lsd to intoxicate over 3000 people in an attempt to see if it could incite enough rage into the elephant, on demand, that it became violent and aggressive. The results however were nowhere near what the CIA was looking for, as the poor elephant almost immediately keeled over onto the ground. It went into a state of seizure for almost 2 hours before it finally inevitably died – in what’s now recognized as one of the most inhumane acts against an animal ever. It really makes you think 8 Yellow Fever Experiment So I’m pretty sure everybody watching, at some point or another in their life, has probably experienced a fever once or twice. But here’s to hoping that none of you have ever experienced the Yellow Fever – because that would be a bit more difficult for you to get rid of. Either way I dare to say that none of you would try to purposely contract this crippling disease, would you? I didn’t think so. Unfortunately for scientist Dr Fur, well, he didn’t have Top Supreme videos to let him know, so he actually injected himself with the virus and even – get this – drank the vomit of those struggling with the sickness – all in order to prove to anyone who would listen that Yellow Fever was in fact not contagious. He stated that this illness was just the result of the difference between winter and summer and actually ended up being half right – see, yellow fever wasn’t contagious as it was passed along from mosquito to human, and not human to human. So all of that drinking of the vomit was for nothing – and, a bit over the top if you ask me. How far would you go to prove you were right? 7 MK-Ultra Since we’re talking about science secrets we may as well fill you in on one of the biggest ones of all time – and one that I’m not afraid to admit is one of the most shameful acts in human history. I’m talking about MK-Ultra. This experiment that was conducted in the 50s and 60s, right around the same time the CIA killed poor Tusko as we mentioned before, the same group of people conducted experiments on human beings using the same drugs – lsd.
