En la cuenta en Twitter @PC_Estatal detalló que por la nubosidad en la zona no es posible la visibilidad, sin embargo, se pudo estimar una altura de 5 kilómetros que los vientos dispersan al este, registrada por el sismograma de la estación Chipiquixtle del Centro Nacional de Prevención de Desastres Naturales (CENAPRED). La dependencia precisó que el semáforo de alerta volcánica se mantiene en Amarillo Fase 2. Cabe señalar que, el sistema de monitoreo del volcán Popocatépetl opera las 24 horas, por lo que, cualquier cambio en la actividad será reportado oportunamente. Durante las primeras horas de este viernes el volcán Popocatépetl mantuvo ligeras variaciones, de acuerdo al registro del monitoreo de la Coordinación General de Protección Civil del Estado de Puebla. Informó que el volcán Popocatépetl presentó ligeras exhalaciones de vapor de agua y gases. Además, la dirección de dispersión prevaleció hacia el estado de Morelos.
