Rocket Lab launches Synspective's first 'Owl' satellite

Rocket Lab's "The Owl's Night Begins" mission launched from New Zealand on Dec. 15, 2020. It was carrying the Strix satellite for the Japanese Earth-imaging company Synspective. (The satellite is named after is a widespread and diverse genus of owls, ie. spotted owl and the barred owl.) Credit: Rocket Lab
